On July 21, 2023 Upon invitation by the Secretary General, BLP Executive Director Franco Bonghan addressed the United Nations interactive multi-stakeholder dialogue to discuss main findings and recommendations contained in the report of the Secretary-General on the review of the implementation of commitments made towards Africa’s development
Some of the key recommendations by BLP ED focused on:
The need for a new equitable global financing architecture: the need for job creation hubs to reduce Youth unemployment: Just access and transition to renewable energy sources: A global National and multinational enforcement body to repatriate stolen money and combat illicit financial flows: Equitable attention to conflict resolution as key to Africa’s economic development.
