STEM is a major yardstick for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls worldwide. This will contribute greatly and accelerate the 2030 Agenda in terms of inclusive global prosperity and economic development within the framework of the three pillars of sustainability namely: Economic development, Social inclusion, and environmental protection
“On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let’s reiterate this fundamental message: women need science, and science needs women. Only by tapping into all sources of knowledge, all sources of talent, can we unlock the full potential of science, and rise to the challenges of our time” Audrey Azoulay UNESCO Director-General.
