Several challenges have been launched this year for example the NATO Women and Girls in Science 2024 challenge aims to inspire young women to pursue and further their careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) support for women in STEM-related disciplines, and to contribute to the diversity and inclusivity of women in this field.

STEM is a major yardstick for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls worldwide. This will contribute greatly and accelerate the 2030 Agenda in terms of inclusive global prosperity and economic development within the framework of the three pillars of sustainability namely: Economic development, Social inclusion, and environmental protection

“On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let’s reiterate this fundamental message: women need science, and science needs women.
