Turning Scars into Strength
War, Ebola, and ongoing conflict scars trap vulnerable youth in West Africa in cycles of poverty, trauma, and environmental degradation. In districts like Makeni, Bombali, Bamenda, Buea, and Forecariah/Gueckedou, over 70% of youth lack education or skills, 60% of women and girls face economic exclusion and gender-based violence, and thousands of orphans carry untreated trauma while land degradation threatens family livelihoods.
Bright Light Projects exists to break these cycles.
Through our trauma-informed methodology of direct support, continuous monitoring, capacity building, and sustainability, we equip vulnerable youth with the tools to heal, learn, earn, and lead. Every program is designed to create self-reliant leaders who rebuild their communities from the ground up.
Rebuilding broken communities: Empowering youth for sustainable futures.
Our mission empowers today, our vision reimagines tomorrow.
We have seen powerful results: thousands of lives changed, measurable gains in employment and income, restored lands, and emerging youth leaders. These numbers are not just statistics, they represent real stories of transformation.

Every $100 equips one youth, rippling to 200+ lives.
