Dr. Marvin Gobina – Resource Mobilization & Fundraising
Dr. Marvin Gobina has served as BLP's Chief Operating Officer for the past four years. Dr. Gobina brings a deep understanding of our organization and an exceptional track record of leadership.
A Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Yaoundé and a graduate of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2007, his distinguished career includes work in healthcare, research, consulting and fundraising.
Marcienne Hemabou – Community Liaison Chair
Marcienne has a strong passion for connecting the community to various resources and serving without reservation. Her deep passion for the underprivileged is rooted in her background, which includes humble beginnings in Cameroon. Marcienne is a health practitioner and loves giving back to the community.
Telice Gillom – Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Telice Gillom is our new Chief Operations Officer (COO) and distinguished Board member at BLP. With 25 years of impressive expertise in operations, public procurement, and supply chain management, Telice brings extensive experience and leadership to the organization.
Telice hails from Akron, Ohio. She was raised by her pan-African great-grandparents, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for Black history and a passion for connecting with the African diaspora worldwide.
A proud alumna of The Ohio State University, she has dedicated her career to designing modernization strategies, integrating emerging technologies into procurement processes, and driving cost-saving initiatives in supply chain management.
Her contributions to the development of best procurement practices have earned her widespread recognition.
Franco Bonghan – Executive Director and Founder
Franco Bonghan is a visionary energy advocate and international development enthusiast. Co-Chair and Co-Founder of the African & Caribbean Energy Network (ACEN), where he drives renewable energy policy initiatives, mobilizing communities to access affordable clean energy as the foundation for economic transformation and SDG 7.
As Founder of Bright Light Projects (BLP), he leads grassroots initiatives that empower marginalized groups through skills training and entrepreneurship, fostering local action against energy poverty and environmental challenges.
He bridges global sustainability goals with regional priorities across the three elements of sustainability: economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection.
A regular contributor to the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, he amplifies Africa’s narrative via his LinkedIn newsletter Global Pulse-Africa: “Unpacking Africa’s Economic Challenges and Showcasing Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”
Trizha Marie Macale – Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development
Trizha Marie Macale is a finance and administrative professional with deep expertise in global operations, compliance, and nonprofit leadership.
An Accountancy graduate, she currently serves as Audit Officer at Hann Philippines Inc. and as Human Resource Manager for Bright Light Projects.
With extensive experience supporting international executives across Australia, the UK, and the United States, Trizha brings sharp analytical skills, cross-cultural leadership, and a strong commitment to organizational excellence to BLP’s Board.
